What FilePad Does

FilePad is a macOS utility that adds Finder Services for video compression and a lightweight FilePad strip for batch jobs. Compression runs locally on your Mac.

Your Data

FilePad stores settings locally on your Mac. FilePad does not require an account and does not operate a file-processing server.

When you compress a video, the file is processed locally and the output is saved next to the original file.

Third-Party Services

FilePad may download FFmpeg binaries on demand and verifies checksums before use. This download only happens when needed and does not include your files.

Analytics

FilePad does not require analytics to function. If any optional usage metrics are introduced, you will be able to disable them in Settings.
